Month/Year Picker

I love the quick Month/Year picker on the calendar but would really like to put this somewhere by itself. Baring that is there a way that I can fire the Month/Year picker with javascript and control the position of the popup.

Thanks, looks to be more than I want. Its a nice feature but my users will just have to put up with a month and year dropdowns for now.
