Hi,
We are thinking of modifying the scope of the features from "Web" to "Site", just so that whenever we activate one time at the site collection level, the feature becomes available to all subsites that we create after the fact.
Is this a supported scenario? What's the correct procedure? Can we just go ahead and modify feature.xml?
Thanks.
Peter

Hi Peter,
Yes, this is a supported procedure. The exact list of steps is available in the RadEditor for MOSS documentation. You will need to modify the feature.xml file and reinstall the feature. Here is the page from the online documentation: http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/change-the-radeditor-features-scope.html

Hi, we want to modify the feature's scope permanently, so we'd like to build our own .WSP file. Is it possible for us to get the VS Solution to build the .WSP? We have hand edited the feature.xml file manually, however, when we re-deploy the solution again, it will overwrite the feature.xml file.
We are deploying a licensed version of the RadEditor. Thank you.

Hello Peter,
I apologize for the inconvenience, but the source code is available only if you have license subscription for ASP.NET AJAX Controls. I can see form your profile that you do not have such agreement, this is why I can not send you the source code.
If you need the code please open a support ticket from an account that has the proper license. We will be glad to send it over.
Sincerely yours,
Stanimir
