I have almost finished a web project that uses some controls from the radControls for ASP.NET. My company recently purchased the tools for ASP.NET AJAX. We don't have the time currently to update the controls to the newer versions for this particular application, but I would like to include the tooltip control so I can do a modal popup.

I have not installed the tools ASP.NET AJAX, as I'm afraid it may mess with my visual studio 2005 and cause issues with one of my projects since the project uses the original ASP.NET radControls.

Is mixing the two control suites doable? Or should I maybe instead use the ajaxcontroltoolkits ModalPopup? Any suggestions/advice and instructions on how to mix the two radControl suites would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello Paul,

There is no problem to use both RadControls for ASP.NET and RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX in the same project. You should only ensure that you are not using both versions of the same control on a single page. I strongly reccommend to upgrade to our RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX and I believe that you will enjoy their advantages. Let me know if you experience problems in migration, I will assist you to resolve them.

Sincerely yours,
