I am using a MetaFile image type for a picture box.  The PDF renderer doesn't appear to be rendering it correctly.  It looks like the renderer is first converting the image type to jpeg, tiff, etc.  Therefore the Image comes up as an rastered image in the PDF instead of a drawn EMF or WMF.  Is there a way around this?  The current reporting program I have does this correctly, but I'd rather go with you because there software has many more issues.

Thanks

Hello Dan,

We're aware of this and currently it is not supported. It is logged in our features list and would be looked into for a subsequent version of the product.

Please excuse us for the temporary inconvenience.

There appear to be something wrong with your forum, because it kept replying with the same message.  As I was saying, would it be possible to be alerted when the feature gets implemeted, even if it is just beta.

Thanks

Hi Dan,

I've deleted the unnecessary replies to keep the thread clear. We will surely get back to you, once we have metafiles working in the pdf rendering. Our developers are already informed of the request and it would be further investigated.

Best wishes,

Are you any closer to implementing EMF images on PDF files?

Thanks

Hello Dan,

We've been busy implementing other important features of a true reporting product (see RoadMap for more info) and have not been able to research on the EMF yet. This is logged in our feature database and we would have it in mind for a subsequent version of the product.

Have you even implemented the functionality of insert EMF images on PDF files and other kinds of file such as RTF or WHTML?

Hello JaBin Kuang,

As stated in our previous reply, once we start working on this feature, it would be noted in our RoadMap, so keep an eye on it, there is no need to ask periodically whether we have gotten a feature done as everything we've implemented in the product is exposed in our release notes.

Kind regards,
Steve
