This is a strange behavior where you can't close, move or resize a RadWindow that blocks all other UI functionality.

I have found this issue only with maximized RadWindows.

Let's say you have a maximized RadWindow and inside the contents there is an anchor tag.
Moving to the anchor scrolls the page down so that the RadWindow behaviors are not visible anymore. You can't do anything but reload the page if the content does not have scrollbar and the RadWindow is maximized.

This is not really a bug, but causes constant trouble when you rewrite traditional pop-up windows to RadWindows. It would be nice to always have some mechanism to restore the window to normal, even if the behavior icons were not visible.

Hi Mika,

We are not familiar with such behavior and I tried to reproduce the problem locally but to no avail. Could you please open a new support ticket and send us a simple demo project where we can observe this behavior?

Sincerely yours,

I too have seen this behavior but in a different situation.  To duplication, create a page that has content longer than the size of the window (causes vertical scroll within a RadWindow or RadPane.  Next, open a radwindow from within that window which also has to be vertically scrolled to view all of the content.  When you close the window you opened, the opening window or pane will lose its height information and will not have a vertical scrollbar anymore, and there is nothing you can do to go back to the top of the window or pane except to close the window, or refresh the browser.

Hi Steve,

I am still unable to reproduce the problem on my side. For your convenience I attached my test project to this thread - could you please modify it in order to reproduce the problem? Once you do that, please open a new support ticket and send it back to me. Also please let me know about the browsers in which you experience this behavior.

Best wishes,

KeepsInScreenBounds property solves one problem, that is, opening a large window initially in a small viewport.
In these cases, resizing the viewport should bring the maximized RadWindow titlebar back too.

I have found the most trouble with IE6 when the RadWindow size is larger than the viewport. Many clients still use IE6.

Only cross-browser issues so far have dealt with anchor tags, large RadWindows and small viewports. I made a demo project and will open a new support ticket on this.

Hello Mika,

As I noted in my reply to your support ticket, the problem is in the RadWindow itself and we will do our best to fix it as soon as possible.
For the time being I attached the workaround to this thread that will be of help.
