Hi !

We have a RadScheduler Website in Timeline View (same problems occur in Week View), with many resources.

If you open the website in Safari or Firefox, it works perfectly fast, but
if you open the site in IE (IE 6, IE 7, IE 8, IE 9) the client performance has a massive break down.

if move the mouse over the scheduler, to see the hover of timeslots or tooltip of appointments,
IE will stuck and began to react very slow. the client CPU usage for the IE process will move up to 100%.

You can test this with a live link of our application

http://evn.cronus.at/monatsmatrix/Monatsmatrix.aspx?cooid=testservice&name=test

I already checked the suggestion in http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/resources/top-performance.aspx, but it's not helping much.

Can you please urgently have a look at this, this is a production stop for our application !

Hi Markus,

If you have to deal with lots of resources, I suggest you consider implementing resource paging as shown in this kb article -

Hi Peter !

The same Problem occurs also with only 10 resources ... in Safari and in FF it works fine.

i think it has something todo with the hovers of the timeslot

Hello Markus,

Can you try setting NumberOfHoveredRows="0" for RadScheduler and check if this helps in your case?

that helped
thanks

but we have another thing.

we have a RadScheduler with 60 resources and 1108 Appointments.

The Server Code needs about 20 Seconds to get everything ready (resources, appointments, etc.) for the Scheduler,
the Scheduler needs additional 2-3 Minutes (!) to be displayed on the web browser.

The web client uses 100% CPU (all tasks on the server are done at this moment, just waiting for the client to render)

if we crop the resources to only 10 and 50 Appointments, it still takes 1 Minute until the Scheduler is redenred.

Is there any knowledge about this performance issue ?

Resource paging is not a possible workaround for us, because we can't limit the resources less to 20

Hello Markus,

I understand that this indeed a problem with RadScheduler - its performance in IE and lots of appointments. I am really sorry about this. Unfortunately, I am not sure what else to suggest to help you for this case.

Kind regards,
Peter
