Hi,

I tried a scenario having a MaskedTextInput and Chinese input method. However I did not hit an issue typing in the MaskedTextInput control. Could you be more specific what scenario do you have. A sample project reproducing it will be helpful.

Hi,

Reproduce the problem as follows:

First, install Chinese input method system, such as Google Pinyin Input Method
Introduction and Download:
http://www.google.com/intl/zh-CN/ime/pinyin/

The second step, just create a wpf project, adding MaskedTextInput controls in one window, and then set to change to Chinese input method, just knocked into a few characters, and then press the "space" or "Enter", you will find just enter the Chinese disappear, or only the first input Chinese characters;

If possible, it is recommended to do the same operation on the MaskedTextBox, will be able to compare problems.

Hi Alex ,

I installed the input method but wasn't able to reproduce the issue once again. Attached is a video of the steps I did and the sample project I worked on. In order for us to be able to provide you with a possible solution, we need to have this reproducible. Could you modify the sample and send it back pointing out the issue or provide a sample runnable project of your own. Please note that this is a forum thread and you will either have to submit a support ticket or use a third party web site for file sharing.

Hi Peshito,

First of all, thank you very much serious test, but I did have a problem here, as shown in the video attachments.
Enter multiple characters, only displays the first Chinese characters, this is the problem we encountered.
I do not know there is no relationship with the system environment?
Our system environment is
Windows Server 2012 R2
.Net 4.5

Hello Lin,

I managed to reproduce the behavior shown on the video you sent. MaskedInput's code relies on methods from TextBox which do not fire when the input is not from keyboard.

We logged this in our feedback portal as it seems like an issue. You can view and vote for in on order to raise its priority using the link below:

This control has a great impact on our project, I hope you will fix it as soon as possible. If it can't be solved, we might consider changing the controls. There is a timeline for repairs.

Hello Tao,

Introducing the support for Chinese symbols in the masked input is not included in our current planning. However, I would suggest you to follow the feedback item in order to get notified when there is an update in its status.
