Hello folks,

In a current project we will be supporting translations of pages - including your products - using global and local resource files (resx). I was wondering if you could shed some light on how Telerik manages the translation process for the resx eg. RadEditor.Dialogs.resx and RadEditor.Dialogs.de-DE.resx.

I can already see potential problem areas such as; versioning of the individual resx, getting the translators to work directly with arcane resx files, having inconsistent versions across languages etc.

Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Errol

Hi Errol,

If you want t to update any language packs, you can use the following useful tool: http://www.screwturn.eu/(X(1)S(grc2ro551rnpa2eeviiyb5fn))/ResxSync.ashx. It can add new keys to the translated files whenever you have updated the original English files.

Another good diff and merge tool is WinMerge.

You can find more information in the following sticky note: RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX Localizations.

Kind regards,
