List of Images while not having MyDataIndex field

Hi Telerik, I am asking question that has already answered in some other thread but not applicable in my case. I want to display list of images horizontally EG:

Img1    Img2    Img3

Img4    Img5

I can see in other threads that I can achieve it by using Group Explorer by setting property Field.MyDataIndex/3 and Field.MyDayaIndex%3 but the field that asked for is not there in my DataSource. In my case I am only getting "FileData" in DataSource nothing else. 

 

Can you please help me how can I achieve List of Images displayed horizontally.?

Hello,

The recommended approach for achieving multi-column layout where the data flows horizontally is provided in this KB article. This approach requires a data field that holds the index of the row to be present in the data source. This index needs to be used in grouping expression so the required number of columns could be generated.

The data field can be added to the data source manually. If it is not possible you can add a calculated field to the DataSource component and use a custom function to set the value of this field. For example, the function can return the index value and increment it.
