Line chart with custom x coordinate

Hi,

Is there a way to specify a specific x-coordinate for each point in a line chart, independent of the category? The reason is I need to create a chart of points that aren't evenly distributed, alongside a denser set of points that are.

Also, when I try to plot them on the same CategoryAxis, the denser plot ends up just adding additional ticks to the category, which I don't want.

Hi Will,

Plotting unevenly distributed points in categorical charts is not supported. What I would suggest is to check the ScatterLine charts.

I looked at those, but none of them appear to support the area highlighting effect that the Area plot has, which we really want. Is there any way to get both?

Hi Will,

Kendo UI does not offer scatterArea chart. Actually this idea has been already submitted as a feature request at our UserVoice portal - you may cast a vote, leave a comment or monitor the community's interest in it here. The more votes the suggestion collects, the higher priority will have when planning for a release.
