Hi Telerik Community,

I have a question which is a little difficult to explain, that is why I attached an image to make it more clear.
I have multiple data points, and each data point has a Pitch attribute associated with it, this Pitch measurement unit is Degrees.

Using the Telerik Chart framework, is it possible to plot each data point at its associated degree angle value and then plot the next data point in relation to the previous. Essentially what we need to do is visually show a profile that is mathematically accurate. I have been able to successfully and accurately achieve this on paper using a protractor but want to digitally achieve this using the Telerik Chart.

Each data point also has a depth value which needs to be shown visually in relation to its associated pitch data point, this will give us the ground elevation relative to the pitch data point.

Would appreciate some guidance on this.

Kind Regards.

This looks like an identical copy of the same question you asked in the Xamarin support case thread. Our answer will always be the same, regardless of the selected platform. This is because the fundamental nature of how a cartesian coordinate system works, it is unrelated to any UI framework or platform, the same is true if you did it on a piece of paper (which is why you are using graph paper, which already has perfect square unit spacing).

Cartesian plots with 2 linear, numerical axes, will mathematically result in the correct angles between data points as long as you enforce the plot area to have exactly perfect square grid. Please follow the same guidance I provided you in the Xamarin support Ticket.

As far as ASP.NET AJAX goes, did you intentionally select the obsolete Chart control? This is no longer supported, you will want to use the RadTMLChart instead. To give you a head start, here is a direct link to the ScatterLineSeries Telerik Web Forms ScatterLine Chart - RadHtmlChart | Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX
