It was mentioned that current Kendo UI customers attending the keynote event today with be upgraded to Kendo UI Complete.  Does this apply to Telerik Premium Collection for .NET customers which Kendo UI is already a part of the collection?

I heard that in the keynote as well, but as far as I can tell if you are a Telerik premium customer, you're only entitled to KendoUI Web.  I was a bit unhappy to see that change as we use dataviz and now I'll need to make arrangements to accomodate that upgrade with management.  I'm hoping that we didn't hear incorrectly during the keynote and that Kendo Complete will be coming our way if we're premium customers and attended.

I submitted a support ticket as well with that question.  They said that the promotion only applies to people that bought only the Kendo UI licenses.  It's too bad because it's not like anyone with a Premium Collection license would have gone out and bought a Kendo UI license (since we were already licensed for it), so we didn't really have a chance to qualify.

Hello folks,

The free upgrade to Kendo UI Complete applies for individual Kendo UI Web licenses purchased before March 22nd. With the Telerik Premium Collection you are eligible to receive solely Kendo UI Web commercial license. However, you may contact our sales team at sales@telerik.com to request some discount for individual Kendo UI DataViz purchase.

Kind regards,
Sebastian

Since the upgrade from the Premium Collection to the Ultimate Collection is only $349, vs $399 for a license to DataViz, I doubt many people would buy a non-discounted license to just Kendo UI DataViz in addition to their Premium Collection.  Although it does make it more problematic that upgrading your subscription restarts from the day of upgrading, throwing away any time you have left on your current subscription.  Is there any chance you might offer a promotion for those with active Premium Collection license that are interested in upgrading to the Ultimate Collection for Kendo UI Complete?

Hi folks,

Good news! After some internal talks we decided to grant all active Telerik Premium Collection holders who bought license before the Q1'12 Kendo UI release (March 22nd 10AM EST) a free Kendo UI DataViz commercial license! This will happen some time this week and the DataViz license will be valid for the period of the corresponding Premium Collection subscription.

Stay tuned and enjoy!

Additionally, we will be offering 10% off promo codes for upgrades from individual DevTools bundle to the Telerik Premium and Ultimate Collections. This will be a limited time offer, hence anyone interested can contact our sales team at sales@telerik.com to get these promo codes.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Very nice!  I really do love Telerik.  We decided to upgrade our license to Ultimate anyway.  It's almost criminal how many tools are available and the small price we pay for them.  Couldn't be happier with Telerik and their product-line.  Amazing how far the Kendo line has come thus far too in such a short time.
