I'm trying to add a new view/controller using the Kendo UI Grid Scaffolding.

I am able to set the controller name, and select an existing model and view model; however, the drop down for the 'Data Context Class' is empty.

How do I specify a data context class? I'm using Nhibernate as an ORM.

Found the answer in documentation. Supports EF only.

Hello,

You are correct. Currently only Entity Framework is supported by the Kendo UI Scaffolder.

I have same issue using EF Core with Database first design. We only have a DbContext and not n entities file. Does the scaffolding support EF Core 1.0?

Hello Scott,

Currently the Kendo UI Scaffolder does not yet support ASP.NET Core projects.

Checking to see if Scaffolding is supported yet. Just built a project in VS 2015 using UI for Asp.net Core v2017.1.223 and no Data Context Classes appear. If not, when is this expected to release?

Hello Eric,

I am afraid that currently, we have no plans to support the Kendo UI Scaffolder in ASP.NET Core applications.

As far as the development of the extension is concerned, we are looking to comply with the new VS 2017 extensions format and if this is of interest, you may follow the issue at:

https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/2900

I am sorry I was not the bearer of better news.
