Kendo UI Grid - new size option

Upgraded our project to the latest version this morning.

Tried the new size option available for the grid.

This works when using the default fluent theme.

We use a theme customised using the Theme builder and the size option small is not working with the custom theme. I've re-built the theme just now using the updated Theme builder and that still has not worked.

Thanks for pointing that out. Added a comment to your thread. The release of new components should be aligned with the Kendo theme builder, had similar issues with the last release unfortunately.

Hello Saquib,

Currently, the ThemeBuilder supports only medium size of components for styling. Adding the other sizes (large, and small) is on our roadmap. However, you may log this as a feature request in our public portal where the community can vote for it and we will plan it accordingly.

Are you really saying if I create a theme using the Themebuilder than this option will not work? Extremely surprised if that is the case. What else does not work when creating a theme using the Themebuilder?

Regarding the grid component:

The current version of ThemeBuilder support only the R3 2022 version of the Kendo UI components and v5.8.0 of Kendo themes. This version does not support sizes for the grid component. 
We are working to support the next version (R1 2023 - Kendo themes v6.0.0) and it will be available in a few weeks. There the grid component supports different sizes. 
However, with the next release in the ThemeBuider, you can style again only medium-sized components. This includes the grid component also. The different sizes add different classes to the components ([className]-md, [className]-lg, [className]-sm). The templates in the ThemeBuilder which the tool uses for generating the class overrides are only for components with a medium size ([className]-md).  As I said in the previous post – support for sizes is in our plans. 

With the next version of the ThemeBuilder, if you want to style small and large-sized grid, you need to write manually all styles.
