In my application there are 2 grid .Using first grid(A) we can add row to second grid(B) so .I have develop first grid as a popup .
So I can edit recede from grid A and there is a command button to add record to Grid B . It is working without any issue .

But now I have another Button(Create New ) in the page which I used to reload Grid A and Grid B. When I click Create New then Load popup Grid A and click command button to add record to Grid B .It is adding two rows to Grid B(It is adding previously added record also )

Bug with <div> container

Hi!

There is a problem with 'vertical' menu and <div> container. Example:

<ul> container works fine, but not <div>.

Problem is with this rule in kendo.common.css:

ul.k-menu-vertical > .k-item

{

display: block;

float: none;

border-width: 0;

}

I added "div.k-menu-vertical" with same rules and it works fine.

[Solved] Why is k-block class set up with a specific width and height?

k-block appears to be the core class for creating a kendo styled panel. Looks great, but it has a default width/height of 200 x 100 px.
Is there a reason for this?

Seems like whoever uses it will always have to override these defaults to get the sizing they desire unless it is the unlikely scenario that they want their panel to be this size. Why not just eliminate the width/height and let the element to which the style is applied size in it's default manner?

Chart with multiaxis and negative values does not display correctly

Hi,

I am having an issue where the if there are multiple axis and negative values the chart does not render correctly. Depending on the settings used (stacked, bar, line, column, etc), the issue will manifest in different ways but in none of them is it correct rendering. There are issues such as the axis being compressed, the negative values being displayed as positive, the wrong axis showing negative values, etc.

I have created a jsfiddle.net example of the behaviour at chart error example. I used the same configuration code from the KendoUI demos so it can be seen the various effects with the different column types.

I would like to know if there is some way to fix this, and if no workaround is there work being done to fix this for a future version?

How to design schema model for this JSON response?

Hello Telerix team,

I am in the process of evaluating Kendo UI for my apps and trying to understand the do's and dont's for our business case. One of the cases which is quite possible in my application is that the JSON can be of the following format.

I am not able to derive a equivalent data model to make the Kendo Grid consume the same.

Here is the JSON response that is returned as part of my transport: url.

My requirement is to consume the data in the ItemList using the KendoGrid. How to derive a schema model for the same.

Forcefully calling transport read method on every expand click

Currently treeview calls transport read method when we first time click on expand. After that the data is cached.
I want to call read method forcefully so that dynamically added nodes are refreshed in tree.
Is there a way to give a serverside read call on every expand button click?

When does chart choose a zero origin

I let chart auto-scale my Y axes and it seems to randomly choose to set a zero origin part of the time and a non-zero origin at other times. Can someone explain to me how it makes this choise?

How to add a new row in grid load

I am using a grid which is loaded from database and also toolbar for creating a new record.
But instead of using the tool bar i want a new record to be opened by default at the time of loading the grid.(i.e addrow() method without clicking any button)
how is it possible?
