Hi,
Would like to know if it is possible that I have a few lines of text in the textbox and I want it to be justified on both sides like in the Microsoft Word. Currently I can only justify it to the left, right or center.

Hello Eugene,
Currently Telerik Reporting does not support the "Justify" alignment option. Implementing "Justify" is not trivial having in mind the different nature of all the export formats, but if we get enough interest from customers we might include it in our to-do list.
Sincerely yours,
Ross

Hi,
I also need this feature so that I can fully replace Microsoft Word documents with Telerik reports as a reporting tool. Our old documents had justified text, and new reports need to mimic the old ones.
Any chance of it happening?

Richard Bushnell

Hi Richard Bushnell,
Thank you for your feedback! Generally speaking the higher the interest for a certain feature, the bigger the chances are that this feature would make it in our plans.
Thank you for your understanding.

I need to know if this answer is the official position at the moment about this problem.
Today, it is impossible understand this problem in a report component that want to be reference in the market.
I would like to know the real situation about this problem. Which is the plan of development for this situation?
Exists some hope for the customers?

Hi Carlos,
We have discussed this feature numerous times, and honestly speaking we are not sure that we will implement it any time soon, even after so many votes. The reasons behind our current stance are:

We have discussed this feature numerous times, and honestly speaking we are not sure that we will implement it any time soon, even after so many votes. The reasons behind our current stance are:
- Text justification is used mostly in text formatting applications, such as MS Word and RadEditor. Telerik Reporting is a reporting tool, which is geared towards data manipulation, but not towards text formatting. From this point of view, adding text justification is not a high priority for the product, but a nice-to-have;
- As Ross pointed out, "Implementing "Justify" is not trivial because of the different nature of all the export formats we support." This argument still stands. For now we would prefer to spend our development time on must-have features, such as an end-user report designer.
Thank you for the understanding.

Please provide us with an update on whether Telerik has the Text "Justify" option on its roadmap now that the more essential features have been developed.
From our point, management in our firm certainly does not understand why an award winning reporting tool does not have a "simple" feature such as "Justify".
Thank you

I strongly suggest that you revisit full text justification. I do not agree with your reasoning for not doing it.
Reporting is more than just tables with numbers and some charts. Text content is an extremely important part of some finished reports. In fact, some of these reports are really acting like a mail merge, where data is merged into text content that is sent to customers. You gave us Embedded Expressions and HTML text boxes that help with that.
I'm sure implementing a feature like this isn't trivial. But html already supports full justification. So does PDF, and Word. I haven't used XPS directly, but if you can convert a Word document to XPS and not lose full justification, then it can be done.
Please implement full text justification in bot the text box and html text.
Thanks
