Hi, I am a bit confused:

Here http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/introduction-jquery-intellisense.html you say
"Since the Q2 2011 SP release of RadControls, IntelliSense is automatically enabled when RadScriptManager is on a page. There is no need to add the previously required ScriptReferences to RadScriptManager to enable IntelliSense"

When I create a new Telerik website within Visual Studio 2010, the ScriptReferences ARE added to the RadScriptmanager.
Bug or feature? Any advantage/disadvantage to have/not to have them added?

Also, if I want to use master pages, how can I have jQuery Intellisense on my content pages?

Thanks in advance for your help
Best regards, Thomas

Hello Thomas,

The fact that the ScriptReferences are added to the RadScriptManager when you initially create a Telerik website/page or application is intended behavior. Please take a look at the following help article for more detailed information on why you need to use the RadScriptManager:
http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/scriptmanager.html

Considering the jQuery intellisense you should be able to  use it no matter if you have a master/content scenario or a simple web page. As long as you have registered the scripts correctly (as explained here and in the article that you pointed out) there should not be any issue with the intellisense (see the attached images).

Hi Kate,

when I write "$.teler..." on my content page, no intelisense shows up.
When I complete to "$telerik.$(.." then it shows me intelisense, I am able to select "document".But after that the intelisense stops again,
so $telerik.$(document).re..." does not come up with "ready" like it does on the master page.

Any idea?

Hi Thomas,

Thank you for clarifying that. Indeed I was able to replicate the issue that you get with the intellisense in a master/content page scenario. Unfortunately I cannot think of a possible workaround at the moment since it is very hard to provide intellisense support for JavaScript and VisualStudio has a long way to go until it can automatically load such JS files. Let's hope that in VisualStudio 2011 the situation would be better.

All the best,
