Is there any way to determine if a column value or row in a grid has been changed on the client side?

Is there any built-in functionality to do this or an easy way to do this without querying back to get the original value or storing the original value in a hidden label, which would be extremely tedious.  Is there some kind of IsDirty type method for a record in a radgrid?
