I'm editing the xml files manually and trying to figure out what my options are. Is there an API document for the XML that I can reference in modifying these files?
For example, trying to figure out how to define a default padding=5px for a style but I can't figure out the right syntax.

Hi,
You can always create a report using the designer and after that check the generated XML. This is a good practice and is also valid when you want to programmatically style and control your reports. Still the ability to edit external stylesheet via the report designer is good idea and logged in our features list.
