The Drawing API was introduced with Kendo UI Q2 2014 release:
It is strongly recommended to use the latest Kendo UI versions. During the years we have added more widgets, added new features to an existing one but have fixed a lot of problems that appeared in older versions. The Kendo UI suite has grown up tremendously during the years.
