ImageEditor with ImageGallery

Hi,

 

we're thinking about buying your products thanks to the ImageEditor you have. Downloaded the Trial and played around with it.
But I couldn't figure out how to make the ImageEditor to work with an ImageGallery.


What wee need is to be able to:

1. Load image(s) into the gallery.
2. When the user clicks an image, open that image in a popup/modal window displaying it in a ImageEditor.

Is this possible?

Hello Dennis,

The ImageEditor control does not expose a built-in ImageGallery dialog. Still you can easily integrate a list of images to be edited by the ImageEditor control. Image editor allows loading of images and image data in a number of ways:

• use the ImageUrl property
• ImageLoading event - http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/imageeditor/server-side-programming/events and an example that shows sample implementation of that event - http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/imageeditor/examples/imageupload/defaultcs.aspx
• using a custom content provider - the first sample is using exactly that. This requires the most implementation effort but is the most flexible - http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/imageeditor/functionality/using-custom-content-provider
