Hi,
I have the corporate logo on the page header, and the PictureBox is defined large enough. The setting is Normal, so I don't expect resizing to take place, and it didn't.
However, after the report renders and I look at the PDF , there is a patchy grey background and its not on the original GIF. It looks like the image is getting lossy compression when its rendered in. Is there a setting somewhere that I can preserve the image quality?
Regards
Paul.

Hello Paul,
We are currently uploading the new Telerik Reporting Q2 SP1 to our servers, where some improvements on the image rendering have been applied. Please download it (once available), give it a spin and let us know of the outcome.
Kind regards,
Steve

What I neglected to mention was that I'm using the Q3 2007 release. Presumably for any kind of decent image quality I'll be forced to upgrade?

Hi Paul,
As mentioned previously, we've introduced improvements in the pdf image handling in the current version of the control, so if you want to take advantage of it, upgrading to it would be the way to go. You can download a trial and see if it behaves as you expect it to.
Kind regards,

Will new Telerik Reporting Q2 SP1 work for licenced version?
Do I just need to replace the dll(s) or do I need to rebuild the solution.
Thanks,
Kanchan

Hello Kanchan,
You can use the Upgrade Wizard that would upgrade the project to the latest version installed on your machine automatically once you open a project containing Telerik Report.

Hello Steve,
I upgraded to the newer version to improve the image(this is a graph generated by .netcharting) quality but can't see any diffrence between new version and the old version.
Image quality is the critical issue for the client.
I wanted to attach both the pdf's screen shot but don't see any option to attach here.
Please advice.
Thanks & Regards,
Kanchan

Hello Kanchan,
Attachments are not allowed in forum threads, please open support ticket if you need to attach anything. Also are you generating a chart with .netcharting, save the image to a file and show it in PictureBox item? It would be great if you attach the original image file and the pdf file containing the image, so that we can see how much is the quality affected.
Kind regards,

Hi Steve,
I am using the original image and showing it to the picture box insted of storing the image and then using that.
