We're using RadEditor with the Telerik skin and would like to tweak the interface in order to provide our users better usability. The issues we'd like to change as as follows:
1. The buttons Insert, Cancel, and Upload appear in what seems to be a dimmed state when they first appear. We would like them to be in a non-dimmed state when they are active.
2. When you go to upload an image, the Insert and Cancel buttons still appear, even though they are not usable at this point. We would like them to disappear or, alternatively, to dim out and become inactive when the user is in upload mode.
3. We would like to add instructions to the upload page, telling the user to first browser to find their file, then click upload to upload it. (Yes, this should be apparent, but it appears not to be.) How could we do this?
Thanks for any help you can provide. I'm willing to play with the source code, but upon looking at it, it's not immediately apparent how to effect these changes.

We are in the process of adding missing features and integrating our new control RadFileExplorer into the RadEditor. All file browsers dialogs are currently being reworked to use RadFileExplorer. We are working on adding drag/drop between treeview and grid, as well as to integrate the upload panel in the RadFileExplorer.

Hence, our suggestion is to wait until the new editor comes out in Q1 2009 because it will feature completely redesigned (file) dialogs.
