IIS 7.5 PageRequestManagerServerErrorException

I have had to move a web application from one server to a new one.  My intention was to just copy the deployed application over to the new IIS structure.  The app code has not changed.  Both servers are Windows 2008 SP2:  the old server had IIS 7 and the new server has IIS 7.5

I am now getting this error below as a javascript error.

There is a double hop involved and kerberos appears to be working.  Fiddler shows no errors.  Can you help me with this issue?  Why would it not run in IIS 7.5?

Hello Miche,

It does not seem like the problem is related to your web.config, as I am able to run an Ajax website with it in IIS 7.5. Unfortunately the provided information is not sufficient to determine what may be causing the issue. I can suggest you to try to compare the settings of the both servers and see if there are any differences. You can also check this link which discusses migrating a website from IIS 7 to 7.5.

Hi Miche, I am getting the same issue - did you ever resolve this?

The WebResource.axd handler appears to work fine in most occastion but when I click on a command button in a radgrid I get this same error!

Hi Raymond,

The error is caused by a server-side exception which is returned from the XMLHttpRequest. You can disable Ajax temporarily just to see the full stack trace which might give you a hint to what is causing it.
