I don't use CardView. Why error popped up?

If I update, build and run as usual, I get an error. (2020.3.1221.45 -> 2021.1.215.45)

 

 

 

System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException'(PresentationFramework.dll)

Cannot find resource named 'CardView_DropDownButton_Foreground_Focused'. Resource names are case sensitive

 

I don't use CardvView. I just update and I get an error.

(My environment is NoXaml and Themes is Window7)

I can confirm that this is a bug.

The error is reproducible only when copying the XAML files in a dedicated folder in your application and setting their BuildAction to Resource.
It is only applicable for the following themes - Office Black, Office Blue, Office Silver, Summer, Transparent, Vista, Windows7. There is a trigger using the CardView_DropDownButton_Foreground_Focused resource, which is actually missing.

Referencing the theme dll instead of copying the XAML files in a dedicated folder in your application won't lead to this exception.

The issue is already brought to the attention of the development team and the fix will be part of the upcoming R1 2021 Service Pack, scheduled for next week.
