Hyperlink Manager Error

• Hi there,
  
   We are using the RadEditor version 2008.1.515.20 in our application. 

  We are getting the following error when using the hyperlink manager

  Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Web.UI, Version=2008.2.1001.20, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=121fae78165ba3d4' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference.

I regret to inform you that the support for .NET 2.0 is discontinued. You can follow our official System Requirements article and this blog post.

 Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.
 The webserver we are using is Windows 2008R2 and the .Net version is 3.5 . We are not using .Net2.0.
 Can you please tell me how you get to know that we are using .Net 2.0?
 Is our configuration settings are pointing to .net 2.0?
 If so can you please provide us the steps to make it 3.5.

Hi,

I was mislead by the mentioned version 2008.1.515.20, this last digits means that the assembly is corresponding to .NET 2.0.

Please follow this example configuration for the DialogHandler.aspx handler registration and check if modifying your web.config file corresponding to it resolves the issue:

Hi,

Note that the one handler registrations are used with fully qualified name, which corresponds to version 2008.2.1001.20. The mentioned used version is 2008.1.515.20. As I have mentioned, these version corresponds to .NET Framework 2.0 and you have pointed out that the project is used under .NET 3.5 environment. I would suggest checking the actual version of the used reference and modify the handler registrations accordingly to them and the .NET version.

Another possible solution is to remove the fully qualified name and use the type attribute like the following one:

<add path="Telerik.Web.UI.DialogHandler.aspx" verb="*" type="Telerik.Web.UI.DialogHandler" validate="false" />

If this does not help you, please get back to me with a simple, locally runnable project, which isolates the problem, so that I could be able to investigate it further on my end.
