Hi. I need dropdownlist in my kendo mobile project and bind data to it.
I saw an example http://demos.kendoui.com/mobile/forms/index.html#/ and saw that better way is to use kendo web dropdownlist and no use standart elements like "select".
But dropdownlist not working in my project. How can i plug in dropdownlist from kendo web to kendo mobile?

My goal is 3 cascading dropdownlists in kendo mobile  with data binding from remote url.

Hello Curtiz,

If you own a Kendo UI license you can include Kendo UI Web in your app and use any of the Kendo UI widgets you miss from the Mobile edition. They would work in your app as Kendo UI Mobile only differs from Kendo UI in that it is designed to work on small screens with touch input, rather than large screens with a more precise pointer input. So keep in mind some of them might not feel quite right on a small mobile device, simply because they weren't designed with this form-factor in mind. You can download the full Kendo UI offering from the http://www.kendoui.com/ web site.

On a side note it is best to post any Kendo UI related issues to StackOverflow or if you have commercial license for Kendo UI you can post to their forums, as they can provide an expert help on the matter.

Kind regards,
Steve

Hey Steve

Is there a way even without a Kendo UI (Web) licence?

or are you planning to add on in the mobile version?

Hello Dominik,

We would not be adding Kendo UI Web to Icenium as it targets different auditory. However the Kendo UI team is constantly adding missing widgets to the Kendo UI Mobile package, so at some point you would have the same widgets in the Web and Mobile packages.

You can download the Kendo UI Web version even now from their download page and add it to your Icenium project. The trial version is fully functional, however it does not include any support.

Steve
