How to insert row but disable editing of cells

Hi,

I need to disable editing of cells but be able to insert row. With my current property settings:

CanUserInsertRows="True" 
IsReadOnly="False" 

It is not possible to insert row while the grid is readonly.

What is the best way of achieving what I want?
