How to draw a line between a label and a label

Is there how to draw a line of categoryAxis between label and label on AreaChart.

AreaChart's majorGridLines and minorGridLines draw lines on the label.

This should work with minorGridLines setting. I tried in this Dojo, where it works as expected:

Isn't this the look that you are trying to achieve? The lines appear between the category labels.

Also, you can draw lines and other elements anywhere in the Chart during the render event. Here is one example for adding a single custom line to the Chart:

Mostly the purpose was achieved by the method taught.

However, I wanted to hide the gray lines completely, so the purpose I completely achieved by making the color of the majorGridLines transparent.
