We have a report with date parameters. When displaying the ReportViewer in our web application, the datepicker does not look as the other in the application.
How can we set the look of date pickers in the parameter toolbar so it looks like ?

Thanks,

Hugues

Hello Hugues,

The report parameters offer only a basic UI which is suitable for most of the used scenarios. The parameter area is in a separate iframe and currently it is not customizable. You can still achieve the requested functionality by using your own UI for handling the parameters. For your case you can use our DateTimePicker control, which is wired to the report through its API.

has this issue been addressed in one of the last 2 releases of Telerik reporting?

The out-of-the-box date picker at the top is pretty useless as you can't even tell what the current day is on the calendar.   If the user has to look at another calendar to figure out what the current date is, there's really no value in having a date picker.

Any chance this has been addressed now? The basic functionality is fine, but the default ASP skin is so ugly. What would be the odds of you guys including your DateTimePicker control in the reporting library and making it accessible via your skins?

Hi digitall,

Our current goal is to cover important reporting functionality we still lack and then we will move to tasks with lower priority. As suggested in my previous post, you can use any DataPicker you would like by hiding the default viewer toolbar and creating your own UI and wire it up to the Reporting API.
Generally using our Web.UI controls as part of the reporting product is not in our plans due to various reasons, main one being the fact that we would have to depend and carry the whole ASP.NET suite (being a single assembly) with our product.
