Hi Radha,
Straight to the questions. The HTML-based Export format support displaying of header and footer in the excel file. As to the question related with the styling, you can apply CSS styles/classes to the cells/rows/tables. More information could be found at the following help topic. Additionally I prepared a small sample where I demonstrated how you can achieve that and attached it to this forum post.

Which version of telerik will support HTML based export because the Version 4.0.0.0 doesn't have any event related to HTML export.

Hello Radha,
The old classic RadGrid for ASP .Net does not include export functionality and we do not provide support for the classic controls anymore.
I wold suggest you to upgrade your application to RadControls for ASP .Net Ajax where you could use the RadGrid export to HTML feature.
