How to add first name and last name for external subscribers?

When I add an external subscriber, I get the entry as:

(external subscriber)

[e-mail]

However, my email template says:

Hello {FirstName},

Could you please let me the know the exact format to add external subscribers so that the email template parameters gets replaced in case of external subscribers?

Hi Belinda,

Templates for the Report Server users differ from the templates for external users. option allows you to specify {First Name} and {Last Name} mail variables while in the template for the external users these parameters are missing and the formatting will be wrong.

Currently, there is no option to specify a mail template for an external user per scheduled task. You can put another feature request into our feedback portal.

Also, the e-mails for the external users can only be configured from Configuration | Mail Templates | Scheduled Task Attachment External template. After changing the template (subject or body) you have to press the UPDATE button.
