I have some objects displaying in the grid with some detail archive objects that the users want to see.  How do I get the columns in the detail table to line up(be directly under) the same columns in the master table?

Hi David,

If I understand your requirements correctly you are trying to achieve TreeListView kind of presentation. We are currently working on this WPF component that will be heavily based on RadGridView . Here is an early preview screenshot of the component:

We are doing our best to release a preview version of this control in the second half of May. The official version is expected in our Q2 2010 release.

Will this control handle your requirements?

Yes, it looks like it would if it still has capabilities to format each of the cells and edit/validation capabilities.  Also, my archive objects that are sub-objects to my forcast objects are of a different type of object.  They have the same fields, but are different.  If it can handle all of this, then absolutely that is what I am looking for.

Will this control also support frozen columns?

Hello David,

It should handle this heterogeneous scenario with forcasts and archives when the names of the properties are the same. It will support frozen columns as well.
