Hello,

Is it possible for header from subreports do be shown on the main report? I have four different subreports with their own headers and my main report will not have a header (nor title), so I need in my main report to import header + detail section from subreport.

I think I saw that it could be done by reportBook, but that will not work for me.
Or by some grouping criteria but I am not sure how is that functioning.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Hello Tamara,

Indeed, the page sections of the subreports are not respected and would not be shown in the main report (see SubReport Considerations and Known Limitations).

However, you are correct that a close result can be achieved with a report grouping. The idea is to add a static group header section to each subreport and place the header content there so that it would appear in the final document.

The downside with this method is that you would not be able to use Page Functions in this group header section but, in many cases, you can use the main report's page sections for this purpose.

That said, here are the general steps to take for this approach to work.

1. Add a Report Group without a grouping expression (static).

2. Select the new group header section that was added to the report.

3. Set the PrintOnEveryPage property of the group header section to True.

4. Move your header contents to this new section.

5. Repeat the steps above for each subreport.

I hope this helps.

Momchil
