Ive uploaded my web site to a hosted environment, but when I try to add a hyperlink in the editor I get an error telling me I need to add the handlers to the web.config file.  I have already done this, so am I missing something else ?

Hi,

Please, try the suggestions provided in the following KB article: Error: Web.config registration missing! The Telerik dialogs require a HttpHandler registration in the web.config file.

Best regards,

Hi Mark,

The errors means that you have some handler in the web.config file which references to the old 2008.3.1125.35 version of Telerik.Web.UI.dll but not to the new version. Please, open the web.congif and delete the fully qualified version of the handlers. Here are how the hanlders should look:

<httpHandlers>
            <add path="Telerik.Web.UI.DialogHandler.aspx" type="Telerik.Web.UI.DialogHandler" verb="*" validate="false"/>
            <add path="Telerik.Web.UI.SpellCheckHandler.axd" type="Telerik.Web.UI.SpellCheckHandler" verb="*" validate="false"/>
            <add path="Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource.axd" type="Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource" verb="*" validate="false"/>
        </httpHandlers>

and

<handlers>
            <add name="Telerik_Web_UI_DialogHandler_aspx" verb="*" preCondition="integratedMode" path="Telerik.Web.UI.DialogHandler.aspx" type="Telerik.Web.UI.DialogHandler"/>
            <add name="Telerik_Web_UI_SpellCheckHandler_axd" verb="*" preCondition="integratedMode" path="Telerik.Web.UI.SpellCheckHandler.axd" type="Telerik.Web.UI.SpellCheckHandler"/>
            <add name="Telerik_Web_UI_WebResource_axd" verb="*" preCondition="integratedMode" path="Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource.axd" type="Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource"/>
        </handlers>

Hello mww,

Can you please send the web.config file? In the meantime try the attached one.
