Hi,
It must be mentioned somewhere but I just can't find one. Can you tell how to group my custom created tool buttons A and B together with no gap, like "bold" and "italic" buttons are grouped together?

Hello Takahiro,

I am afraid that this functionality is not supported at this time. You can submit this as a feature request on UserVoice, so that it is considered for implementation in a future release.

Hi Telerik Team,

is this requested feature from Takahiro available in some of the latest releases? I could really use it, too.

Thank & regards

Maik

Hi Maik,

Such functionality has not been added in the latest releases, however it can be achieved by using a custom tool with a template, as demonstrated in this dojo example. Note the last three buttons are part of the template and have specific Kendo UI CSS classes applied in order to get styled similarly to default tools such as the "bold", "italic" and "underline" tools.

Hi Ivan,

thanks a lot. That was all I needed for now.

Although a straight forward API for grouping custom tools would still be nice for the future.

Best regards

Maik

Hi Maik,

We would suggest logging this as a feature request in our public Feedback Portal. This way the community would be able to vote for it. Many of the highly demanded features get approved by the team and implemented in future releases.
