Hello,

Version: 2010 Q1

By using a GridHTMLEditorColumnEditor without giving a tools property in design page mode, ie <tools> empty, GridHTMLEditorColumn displays, in Edit and Insert mode, the editor with a default toolbar, which includes Bold, Italic and so on.

How to remove this default toolbar directly in design page mode?
(example: <tools><EditorToolGroup Tag="...">)

If not possible, how to remove it in code behind?

Thank you,
Alain

Hi Alain,

You can handle the ItemCreated event of RadGrid and there if the current item is in edit mode, find the RadEditor and set its properties as desired:

protected void RadGrid1_ItemCreated(object sender, GridItemEventArgs e)
{
    if (e.Item is GridEditableItem && e.Item.IsInEditMode)
    {
        GridHTMLEditorColumnEditor columnEditor = (e.Item as GridEditableItem).EditManager.GetColumnEditor("<Column UniqueName>") as GridHTMLEditorColumnEditor;
        RadEditor htmlEditor = columnEditor.Editor;
    }
}

Let me know if it helps.

Kind regards,
