Hi

I am currently evaluating your GridView control and I would like to know if it supports lookup columns when data bound.

Just to clarify I want to, for example, bind a grid to the Northwind orders table and have the EmployeeID column show the LastName from the Employees table rather than the EmployeeID.

Regards, Carl Gilbert

Hi Carl916,

We will support lookup columns in the service pack due this week. Please, download the product once out and give it a spin. Your feedback on this feature is welcome.

Best wishes,

I am also evaluating your product and I have a problem with a lookup column in a gridview.  The display member (string)is not the same as the value member (integer) for the lookup column.  When I try to filter I get a runtime error which says a string cannot be compared to an int. I want to see the username and filter by typing in a name, but the value in the column is an integer recordID.

Hi Gerda,

Unfortunately, this behavior is currently missing. Filtering a lookup column will possibly be introduced in the next major release of our controls - Q3 2007 (expecting this December).
