Grid filter and group field datetime

How can I filter and group by field type date, excluding time, only by day/month/year ?

Hello Ignacio,

Regarding the question:

1) Filtering - By default the Kendo UI Grid will have a DatePicker for filtering which will filter based on the selected date:

2) The grouping will be affected by the time option as it is part of the value. Currently, the only option is to send the date with no time parameter.
