Why the example Grid EditForm in RadWindow available in the RadControls by asp.net distribution apparently are not available in the Prometheus distribution? Is it still possible to achieve functionallity using Prometheus?

Yes, this is possible - we will have such example in our demos soon. For the time being I suggest to check the following forum thread: http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/thread/b311D-bbmeca.aspx
You can use the code as a base and extend it further to fit your scenario.
