getting root access

I have read the post on a custom provider to get to the root folder in the ViewPaths property but I can't get it to work.  Is there any update or another way to use a physical path or to set the viewpathproperty to the root folder?

I have tried to implement this solution.  I created a blank web app with this.  It doesn't show folders.  I have tried to tinker with the properties to get the local folder I want, with no success.  If I wanted to show a folder on my drive, like c:\data\, what would I need to change in this project to accomplish that?

Did you add the required mapping to the MappingFile.mapping file?
