I have a grid that has 7 frozen columns whose data is bound, and up to 50 other columns which are dynamically created based on data in a table.(currently 24 columns are being created)  Everything seems to work fine until I go into edit mode and the frozen columns are disappearing or being pushed out.  Will scroll all the way back to the left and columns are missing.  If I tab through all the columns eventually I can return the the editcolumn or the frozen columns.  Also this seems to be happening if we edit one of the values.  We tested this page fairly thoroughly and seems like a new problem that arose.

*Note it seems to be working fine with Chrome or FireFox, but not in Internet Explorer.

Any help is appreciated.

Update..

If we tab through the different values the frozen columns seemed to be getting pushed out.  If we tab through all the created columns eventually we can get back to the edit column and frozen columns.  I was able to recreate the problem in Chrome and Firefox.

This is a inventory based system where users need to go in and update quantities for inventory to be shipped.  So they tab through and change quantities.

Hello Sumith,

Based on the supplied information, it is hard to determine what is causing the unwanted behaviors which you described. To track the issue further, it will be best if you open a formal support ticket, and attach a small working project, demonstrating your setup, and showing the unwanted behavior. We will debug it locally, and get back to you with more information on the matter.

All the best,

We are also experiencing the issue where tabbing through a scrollable grid horizontally will destroy any frozen columns and in fact prevent the user from scrolling back to the left (the scrollbar does not move when tabbing along horizontally).

Any update on this issue? I could not find it in PITS.

Hi Jan,

Unfortunately, this is not a supported scenario, as the scroll that appears below the table view is actually a fake one and upon scrolling with it RadGrid makes certain calculations that make the columns to the left of the frozen ones either to be made visible or to be made invisible.
