Filter and Sorting Image

Hi,
I had to do some change with the sorting and Filtering ... Now When I sorting my sorting Image comes on the Filter Row and I Inserted this image in the ItemDataBound..It works perfect..But the problem come when I do a row click  the Image seems to get lost..The only solution I have it to rebind the grid on the row click..But Since the DataSource will have aleast 6 million row when it is push to the production..It will take a long time .. Do you guys have any solution..

I tried the client Caching , But still I can't get the Image displaying...
