I just add the file explorer to my project and  the design view on VS2010 show the following message:

Error Creating Control - RadMultipage1
The control collection cannot be modified during DataBind, Init, Load, PreRender or Unload phases.

I spend already a few hours trying different solutions and nothing seems to make it work.
The application work OK but in the design view on VS2010 the control is broken.

I have version ASP.NET AJAX Q1 2012 SP1

Hi Rickardo,

Thank you for reporting this issue. We are already aware of it and our developers are working on improving the RadControls's designers // design views?. Most probably this functionality will be available in some of our following releases.

Please, excuse us for the caused inconveniences.

Kind regards,
Veselina

That's not good :(

Is there a ticket addressing with this particular issue?
When is expected to be available the next release?

Is there any work around I can try on my side?

Basically I have RadTabStrip with 3 tab.
Then on each tab I have a RadAjaxPanel, finally inside the second tab I'm trying to add the RadFileExplorer.

The issue appear as soon as I add the RadFileExplorer on the Design view on VS2010.
Sincerely,

Hi Ricardo,

The next release (Q3 2012) is planned around the middle of October. We are looking into our VS designers, but at the current state of affairs I cannot provide an estimate on this.

For the time being, I can recommend using the source mode of Visual studio to add the markup by manually. Detailed information about the configuration of the different RadControls, is available in our online documentation:
RadTabStrip
RadAjaxPanel
RadFileExplorer

You can also use the Properties popup of VS to configure the RadFileExplorer by pressing F4 when your cursor is in the its tag.

Greetings,
