I'd like the ScrollMode to allow us to scroll horizontally in deferred mode and vertically in RealTime, or vice-versa.

The grid is using internally standard ScrollViewer and we will need to rewrite this completely from scratch (write our own similar to our Silverlight version) if you want to achieve something similar.
