Hi, not sure if this is the right place or not, but I have a question about a feature request.  I'm looking to have a grid that performs similar to Infrangistics, where you can just click in a cell and it goes into auto edit mode.  I have very large datasets and having to hit edit and update each time the user needs to edit a field is just too time consuming.

Is there anything planned for a feature like this in the near future.  If there isn't anything planned I am going to have to switch over to Infrangistics which I don't really want to do because their help, support, and demos are very limited compared to yours (plus I'm not a huge fan of their controls).  But in this case, the functionality of their grid is perfect for what I need.

http://samples.infragistics.com/2008.3/WebFeatureBrowser/Default.aspx

Click on 'WebDataGrid', then 'Editing Rows - Basic Features'

Thanks,

Doug

Hello Doug,

I think that a combination of the approches presented in these online resources can produce the editing functionality you are searching for:

http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/dataediting/editondblclick/defaultcs.aspx
http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/grdreadonlymodeforindividualcells.html

Review the information/code implementations for these sources for more details.
