Very like your work, but don't see some features.
Do you have support for external report templates - like RDL templates in SSRS?
Support of end user report editor?
We are going 100s of reports and we dont want them to be hard coded in .cs.

Hello artu,
Currently Telerik Reports are .NET classes that should be compiled and there is no built-in support for some kind of XML description of the reports. However we have plans to add support for templates and end user reports in a subsequent version.
Please excuse us for the temporary inconvenience.
Sincerely yours,

Hello,
Would it be possible to get any more information regarding the plans for an end-user designer? We're still in the process of singling out a reporting tool, and we're mostly interested in the time frame for an end-user designer.
We'd also like, if at all possible, to get an idea of what your plans are for how customizable the designer would be.
Any hints you can give me would be greatly appreciated,
Thank you.

Hello PatricG,
The end user designer is one of our top priorities, but I cannot provide a specific time frame in which it will be delivered. Most probably we will not be able to provide it for Q3 2008. When we have a clearer view of that we will update the product road-map on our site.
As for the customization of the end-user designer, could you share some details about what kind of customization functionality do you expect it to have. Your feedback will help us when we are developing the requested feature. Thank you in advance.
Best wishes,
Ross

Thank you for your reply.
Some of the main points that come to mind are :
The ability to make the DataSource transparent for the end-user. For instance, the winform where we plug in the designer would figure out what fields are available and give them to the designer. Ideally, we would also be able to provide a description for the fields (so that the end-user doesn't have to select from a sometimes unfriendly list of column names.)
The ability to easily keep extra information about a field. Perhaps by inheriting from the desired controls and adding them to the toolbox?
Thanks again.
