Hi

I am working on hierarchical grid, and trying to get Excel with same view as on html page.

I am getting excel but few things are not working for me;

1.I hided "ExpandColumn" (+/- image column) but it is giving me blank column. I want to delete that column. It is very first column so whole excel is looking very old.

2. I am having detail tables seating one inside other; so for each detail table it is showing blank row as i hided header text. I want to delete that blank rows

3. Also at the begining of the Excel i want to add 3-4 rows as header or title which is not available on grid. This header/title is the information my client wanted to have about what is data is all about.

Kindly suggest on this.

Thanks;
Pradip

Hi Pradip,

You can include additional data in the CommandItemTemplate so that it will be displayed on the top of the exported document. Go through the following forum link which explains how to hide the expand/Collapse column. Telerik has done a sample application on hiding the expand/collapse column while exporting. Give a try with that and see whether it helps.
