Most likely your live server is running on Medium Trust. For more information on specifics when running application utilizing Telerik Reporting in Medium Trust refer to the Medium Trust Support help article.

Hi Brandt,
The Excel rendering extension (i.e. Excel 2007) works correctly under medium trust. To make it show in the export options it requires Telerik.Reporting.OpenXmlRendering.dll and Open XML SDK 2.0 for Microsoft Office (DocumentFormat.OpenXml.dll v.2.0.5022.0 or above). Unfortunately there is no workaround for PDF rendering extension.
