Empty space when hiding many cells on table

Hi everyone,

I have a report design as the image below. I have set conditional formatting for the empty data will be hidden

But it has empty space when hiding many cells on the table

I have read many topics for this issue on the forum by using Group Explorer, Binding, and Designing the Basic Layout,.... but it does not work exactly

Hello Son,

Thank you for the screenshot of the problem!

This is a problem known to appear when there are a lot of hidden cells in a table/crosstab. The issue is logged on the public portal and I have cast your vote for the following two feedback items in order to increase its priority:

• Hiding the Detail Columns in Crosstab leaves small blank space between the Row Headers and the Totals (telerik.com)
• Table/Crosstab Borders Inconsistency (telerik.com)

If it would not affect the total table values, I recommend filtering out the unwanted data instead of hiding the cells that display it. Depending on your table/crosstab grouping that may or may not affect the total sums so please proceed with caution.

If the above approach will affect your table negatively, the other thing that you may try to do is replicating your table layout with the list report item, though, the table column headers should be outside the list item, just above it. Then, hiding textboxes inserted directly in that list(basically the "cells") should work as expected.

I updated my report with many changes by filtering the data in group explorer, it help me a lot to hide/show cells
